To remove any remaining doubt on where Google stands on censorship, they've announced openly what many believe has been the case all along:
Content which questions the status quo is not welcome.
"Making blatantly false claims about historic events like 9/11" is now specifically against the rules. But who decides what's blatantly true and what's blatantly false?
Another new rule is against "promoting a phony miracle cure for a serious illness". What about my video Cannabis Cures Cancer? It has already been censored since I released it 3 years ago, but has still reached thousands, and likely saved lives. Cannabis DOES cure almost every known cancer, and this has been documented since at least 1974. But Google considers this "fake news" and censors it, perhaps leading to the death of thousands of people every year and the suffering of millions more. Are these new censorship rules going to hide the truth about cannabis from even more people, leaving them with no option but deadly cancer-causing radiation and chemo, a trillion dollar industry?
I told YouTube a decade ago that I'm Proud to be a Conspiracy Theorist, and that hasn't changed. Conspiracies are secret plots, and they've been happening since humanity began, and they're happening right now. Humans plot in secret all the time. Conspiracies are common, from relationships, to families, to businesses, to governments. Discussing them isn't a sign of mental illness, it's a sign of mental health, and a firm grip on reality. Those of us who are informed enough and intelligent enough to discuss the ongoing secret plots which shape our world shouldn't be silenced, we should be amplified. Censoring anyone who discusses conspiracies is corrupt at best, diabolical at worst.
There is no freedom of speech until you are fully free to discuss any and all topics and ideas. Censorship, no matter how well-intended, is always wrong and always a bad idea. We should be actively breaking DOWN censorship which Google is putting UP. Censoring skepticism is dangerous. This is the opposite of progress. We're in the Dark Ages again, and it's getting even darker.
It's downright nightmarish to imagine why this blatant advance in censorship is happening right now. The push to shut down independent thought and expression has been nonstop for the past year or so, and reaching a fevered pitch over the past few days.

Who knew it would be so easy to dismantle our freedom of speech; all they have to do is call everything either hate speech or fake news in order to censor it. Speaking of speech, Canada has been trying since 2016 to mandate speech (making it illegal to not call anyone by their gender pronoun thing). Will 2020 be the year of being told exactly what you can and cannot say? Thanks for reporting on this, even if it does get censored...
Every once and a while I hear about the healing properties of cannabis oil and wonder if they have any truth to them.
When you get a chance, investigate! You'll be amazed at how much has been kept from you until this point. You have an endocannabinoid system in your body and brain, specific receptors for THC and 100+ other cannabinoids found in plants, and made by your body. This system is responsible for the regulation of health. When it isn't properly supplemented, illness results, which is why cannabis treats so many conditions. It is literally part of us and has been for millions of years, in our diet and culture and medicine from before recorded history. All you have to do is wander away from the official narrative, which for 100 years has been "marijuana kills brain cells, causes cancer, and makes people violent or lazy".
The Nazi's were masters of propaganda. They said "if you're going to tell a lie, tell a BIG lie, and tell it often". The lie about cannabis is one of the biggest and it has been told nonstop for generations now.

I wonder why google and other big social media giants decided to support censorship to this dramatic level. Someone out there had to be smart enough to understand that it will cause increasing damage to their business. And people will be turning away from them.
