One of the major issues with regard to the realm of virtual reality is the display. In this direction, Google and LG Display work by preparing an ultra-high resolution OLED panel for the next generation of VR helmets, Android Police reported.
The display was officially introduced at Display Week 2018. The OLED panel has a 4.3 "diagonal and a 4.800 x 3,840 (18MP) resolution with a 120Hz and 120 x 96 field of view (FoV) refresh rate. According to the two companies, this is the OLED panel with the highest resolution.
HTC Vive includes a 3.6 "display with 1080 x 1200 (448ppi) resolution and Vive Pro with a 3.5" panel and 1440 x 1600 resolution at 615ppi, both offering a 90Hz refresh rate and 110-degree field of view.
