If you think Google is free, then you need to rethink. I will try to explain it in simplest manner.
You have some apples and you want to sell them.
Price → 10 Rupees. Where you get 10 customers per day.
Now, you want to increase your sale, you come to me and say please advertise my apple. For each apple I will give you 1 Rupee.
I started advertising, but you need to reconsider these points again:
- If you sell your apple at the same price i.e. 10 Rupees after advertisement, you will be at a loss of 1 Rupee for each apple.
- So if you want to maintain the same profit margin, you increase the price by 1 Rupee.
Now for the same apple, customers are paying 11 Rupees.
Is Google Free?
It seems free, but they are cashing in from our pocket indirectly. You are not paying 1 Rupee directly to google, but that 1 Rupee is going in their account.
Google also provides some paid services, which generates its revenue.
So, whenever you see ads during Youtube videos, remember you are paying (already paid/will pay) for this. If you go and analyze their complete business plan, you will realize that food is cheaper than Google services.
Nothing in the world is free because money doesn't grow on trees. You must pay for everything in this world one way or another.
Everything comes with a price, even Love.
