Does that make Adam an offspring of God? I wish to say Yes. Adam is a son of God. Children often their fathers sometimes and get punished for it, so was Adam punished.

This statement refers to Jesus, So He is the son of God too, but then He has been giving power that was not given to Adam, Through him Man is redeemed, but by Adam, Man became evil.
The bad and good son stuffs I guess.. It happens even in some earthly families.
