The Mayor of Grantsville, Utah likes to put his hands on others.
In this Report, there are details from Council Members, City Staff, and members of the public that show the Mayor of Grantsville, Utah may have a bullying problem. The alternative is that in this day and age, people over-react.
Having not been there, I would reserve judgment as to what really occurred. However, if I were the Mayor I would be careful not to touch others, out of an abundance of caution. From the description, if taken in isolation these are not egregious offenses. The only exception would be the staff member that quit because “He grabbed my shoulders and he pushed me and made me sit down,” she recalled. “He pushed me into one of the chairs and told me that I wasn’t leaving.”
In any case, the people ought to have confidence that public servants are acting professionally and in their best interest. So what are your thoughts? Is this a mountain or a molehill?
