Do you think AI can help our poverty situation and why?

I feel there is a positive and negative outcome that can occur when looking at how A.I. may affect those living in poverty. If we first look at the utopian idea of how A.I. would affect those working possibly easily programmable jobs we might actually see an increase of encouragement in education and finding careers that pay better salaries. While this is an optimistic view I think we would slowly see the improvement as society as a whole due to the A.I. possibly providing ideas on how to adequately aid those impoverished also. However, there is also the idea of looking at how certain jobs that are considered lower class, are not easy for a robot to complete because of the complex motor skills that would be required to be coded into the robot. This would mean jobs that required movements that continually change elevation, directions, rotations, etc they would not be easily replaced by A.I.
However, looking from a dystopian point of view, we as a society might see the increase in homelessness and starvation within our communities. We would possibly notice an ever-growing gap between the upper class and the lower class because the upper class is no longer required to pay wages to works but instead pay only a few mechanics to maintain their machines. This could potentially lead to their being unrest in the United States because other poor would only be getting poorer.
I personally believe there would be a mixture of the two cases. We would see the lower class losing some jobs but because there is more money and time circulating in the communities hopefully, those with more wealth would be creating different jobs that require workers. We would see a shift in the type of jobs that are now required since we have solidified the automation of "basic" or easily programmable jobs. While I am highly interested in seeing the increase innovative abilities with A.I. I believe as a whole they will help improve the way of life for all economic classes.
