Graffiti in Thailand is probably not much different from graffiti in other countries (although I could be wrong).
I never really paid attention to it, although many consider it art. Maybe it is, but to be honest, I don’t understand anything about it.
My son and I took pictures of this graffiti today in abandoned shops. The place seemed atmospheric to us: ruined walls, traces of time, but at the same time - bright, lively drawings. As if someone decided to breathe new life into these ruins with the help of paints.
As far as we understood, there are works created by people from different countries at different times. Some of them are faded, as if erased by the years, and others are fresh, with paint not yet completely dry.
What are people trying to express with these graffiti? What are they about?
It's hard for me to answer, because English is a dark forest for me. Perhaps there is someone's story, message or just a burst of self-expression hidden behind these drawings.
I write my texts myself, correct mistakes and translate via ChatGPT (which is not a violation on Hive).
