Weissratings issued the following ratings for graphene based coins (for whatever it's worth)

(A = excellent, B = good, C = fair, D = weak, E = very weak)

BitShares: C+

EOS: B

Steem: B-

B is the best given rating, so graphene based coins are among the best rated cryptocurrencies, according to Weiss.

So which one got a B? Bitcoin? :P

EOS and Ethereum are the only B's

In my opinion these kind of ratings should have no influence on the crypto market, they shouldn't even exist. It's hard to believe that those people know what they are doing, or doing it not in favor for banks etc.

Would you trust more the scamcoinmarketcap where manipulative sh!ts like riple and other shitcoins reside at top positions?

Well I don't see where the problem there is? Coinmarketcap makes a ranking which is based on their marketcap, they don't claim to be a rating site or anything? In investments (and not just in crypto) one of the most important things is to make your own research about projects, not to let others rate them, especially not if they come from sources which are most probably not going to make a fair rating.

Coinmarketcap makes a ranking which is based on their marketcap

Which is imperfect and can be gamed by entities like riple or shitcoins that have the majority of their suply controled by two or three individuals.

they don't claim to be a rating site or anything

They don't have to claim anything, most people will take a glance and will form their opinion based on that inaccurate(coinmarketcap) list.

This rating is a tool that can save you a lot of time in your research and was much needed, I'm not saying it's 100% accurate but it is the best tool we have so far. A tool to end hyped shitcoins and give us some baseline to start our research from, we are in a better position with it than without it.

I would have my reservations if there were some unrealistic ratings in that list but this is not the case, all rating are prety fair imo.

Yeah, not gonna lie. I don't know who Weiss is but i could give a shit less how his agency wants to rate the coins.

Yep, but that's unfortunately the case of maybe a lot of investors here, but not outsiders and potential investors. Some are probably just looking into such ratings :/ Look how all this ICO rating sites get popularity between investors but still some are getting paid to make a good rating.

I think every value is based on the rating of each currency, and I think the ratings of digital coins will gradually increase.

Do you think this news influenced the big jump this morning?

EOS is an A+ coin. Weissrating just doesn't see it yet.

Ratings based on what exactly?

@Hilesfiles, sorry to bother, but not sure how else to reach you (as I'm not very tech savvy). Trying to read and write, here, and your conversation with a Clockwork and Gleepower keeps popping up on my screen :o Don't quite know how to turn it off, and going quietly mad with all these unwanted notifications. Please, advise!

So EOS and Steem are almost on the same grade, right...

They are built on the same principles so...
