One of my first Steemit posts was about Our Homestead Hosting a Hitching Party.
The big event is just a mere 9 weeks away! Yikes!!?!
I have been trying to decide how to best talk about our Hitching Party.
Gratitude flows to my dear friend Jon Griffin. He has created this beautiful poster for us!!
What a Gift!!!
This poster is the perfect intro into the topic of our big day. So... the wedding is actually a little two day music festival. He has included the bands along the edges.
Our Mountaintop Homestead will be home to several hundred of our very dear friends gathering and camping to celebrate our marriage with two days of live music and shenanigans.
There will be folks arriving early and staying late, overall two weeks of blessings as our friends travel from across the country to visit and celebrate with us.
If you follow my work here you may have an idea that we work and play in the world of music. Our Heart Family Circle is one of music festival production. We are the ones working 15 hr days while thousands of folks dance and enjoy these events.
When we announced our wedding weekend, offers of help rained in like flower petals floating down all around us. We are Blessed to have such a community.
A large event like this is very manageable when most of the people you know work, perform or volunteer at events like this regularly. It will be fantastic!
Wedding Attire
I am creating our wedding attire. Look back on my feed to see all of the creative bits I sew and knit. I am very excited to be creating our clothes for our special day!
My Hubby is a Deadhead to the core. This truth was beautifully captured in the artwork Jon created for us. I have finished his Uncle Sam hat and I will be starting on the Patchwork he will be wearing very soon. My clothes are still a big unknown.

I hope to feature many of the Artists who will be joining us in celebration as the weeks before the wedding fly by.
Jon Griffin and his artwork will be first! I am hoping to even include an interview if we can find five quiet minutes this weekend.
