This article is HIGHLY DECEPTIVE–a complete disgrace to any reputable journalist or publication. But then, it's the DB; what can you expect??
All the article tells us that 8chan's owner, Jim Watkins, uses Amazon to market audio book business. There is nothing illegal or immoral about that. Daily Beast translates that into '"Amazon funds 8chan."'
Looks like Daily Beast is trying to put pressure on Amazon to stop selling Watkins' products, because he uses the proceeds to support 8chan–which DB says is "a wellspring of racism, violence, and criminal activity online and in the physical world."
Real story? The Daily Beast is a wellspring of hatred, disinformation, and ongoing fake news online and in the physical world.

Does Amazon have black contracts with government?
Given the fact they were awarded contracts for cloud storage I would say it's likely. Also, most of what we know today as "Tech Giants" were created by DARPA. In the early days of Arpanet we all knew this, strange how this information seems to be lost on anyone not old enough to remember Eternal September :)

Eternal September
Eternal September or the September that never ended is Usenet slang for a period beginning in September 1993, the month that Internet service provider America Online (AOL) began offering Usenet access to its many users, overwhelming the existing culture for online forums.
Before then, Usenet was largely restricted to colleges, universities, and other research institutions. Every September, a large number of incoming freshmen would acquire access to Usenet for the first time, taking time to become accustomed to Usenet's standards of conduct and "netiquette". After a month or so, these new users would either learn to comply with the networks' social norms or tire of using the service.
