Nafplion is a lovely seaport town in the Peloponnese in Greece that has expanded up the hillsides near the north end of the Argolic Gulf.
According to Greek Mythology, the town was founded by Nafplios, the son of god Poseidon and the daughter of Danaus (Danaida) Anymone.
A two hour drive from Athens it's an easy weekend trip and the nearby wine country does not disappoint.

Beautiful. Its been a while

I've been buried! I have a new project that will make you think... #futurist :)

Waiting for it. I also have one...working on it.

Lovely picture!

Thank you! :)

Everyday after school the boy ran down to the harbor to help his father clean the catch and the boat. It was exciting to see what his father had brought in from the ocean. It was always plentiful, always delicious. When he reached the dock, he easily found his father and went to work as normal. Unfortunately the nets were tangled, so he threw them into the water to separate the twine and then rewind them. As he was pulling them in he noticed a bearded ace in the water staring up at him. He blinked to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. The face smiled with sharp pointed teeth. The grin was sinister...and as soon as it had appeared it was gone.

Scared, he told his father. But it seemed he already knew. He sank lower and told his son his story. For the last years, to ensure a good catch and to keep him safe in the storms - he made a deal with Poseidon. He would have to serve the God for 5 years starting on his son's 13th birthday.
" 5 years?....but Papa...."

The boy listened intently...but before the story ended he had already made up his mind. He was going to kill a god.
