I've always had a love for all kinds mythology, whether it be Egyptian, Norse, Roman, Greek, I have always had a love for them. Which has always stricken some people strange as I believe in God in the way of Christianity. Although I don't practice the Ancient Greek or Roman religion, I do think that it is okay for someone who believes in God to study mythology. Many Christians now a days are very strict on the kind of content we consume such as books, movies, and music. Mythology is an example of this. It is most definitely to study Greek and Roman mythology while still believing in God. Many Christians find out you are interested in the subject and automatically put you down for it, suggesting you believe in such nonsense and are disobeying God by acknowledging these fake gods. I however disagree. Greek and Roman Mythology is just another fairy tale that we tell our children, just figures of our imagination to entertain the mind. It is the same thing as the Disney movies you go out and watch with the family. It is for entertainment for many. Others study it to become more educated about the way our ancient ancestors practiced everyday life. To educate those who may be interested in the field of anthropology. It is not betraying the God's word if you are studying Greek/Roman mythology for these reasons. Although if you are praying to these mythical gods and worshiping them, then that is a betrayal of God's word.
