Hallo community
Now I start a second blog concerning green energy. I passed the 7-day-rule, so it is not possible to add pics to my last blog. A pitty.
It is still my intent to show you the dark side of the green energy.
So let me start with an impression of the small forest I live direct outside the gates of Berlin
Can you recognize the boundery stone on the second picture?
Usually the paths through the wood look like on the pictures.
With the nuclear phase-out the german government started immensely to subsidize green energy like solar energy or wind farms.
Now it is very lucrative for energy companies to invest in wind farms. For these companies, a kilowatt hour green energy costs 13 ct. The people in Germany have to pay 30 ct. For comparison only: A kWh energy made from coal costs the companies much more while people have to pay only 32 ct.
Sadly there is hardly no more space for wind farms in Germany, so one start to build the windmills in forests. I made a picture when I was driving from Hamburg to Berlin. With a height of almost 200 metres the windmills look very strange in the landscape. And the tiny turbins on the head of the windmills show their real seize at the transport (on the green truck it´s a third of one turbine...)
Now see, what has happend to the small forest:
The paths get wide and wider, the trees have to move. Curves are not allowed on the future ways for the big trucks. One need circa 1000 trucks to prepare the area - with a seize of 300 x 300 metres - for the construction of one windmill.
Theese big holes in the forest is the space for a single windmill. The small forest has a area of 3 km x 5 km. In the next two years there will be 12 (!!!) new windmills, at least 200m high. The construction of further 35 windmills is planned and has to be signed by the government.
The former paths are streets now. There´s almost no wild life in this area. Birds, deers, wolves and wild boars are gone. People with rubble and rubbish are come.
And look what happend with the boundery stone:
Just taking this opportunity to say "THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING ME"
Hey akona,
thanks a lot for this report.
Maybe you should write in German, too.
Meanwhile there´s a big german community which - i think - is waiting for your contributions.
Hey danke fürs reposten.
Bei Gelegenheit schreib ich es mal auf Deutsch. Geht ja schnell.
Dein Profilbild ist der Hammer!!
Excellent write!
