We have all generally become familiarized with NASA's
Vogager probe, the Viking and Mariner missions to Mars.
At least one of the missions I just mentioned had a
gold-plated record album with everything you could
imagine that could represent the planet Earth, the
planet where we all live. That gold record also
includes a crude map of how to get to Earth in an
understandable relationship to the stars within our
local galaxy and better.
Sure, it would be nice to know that we are not alone
in the universe.... But wouldn't it have been better
if.... We had sent that gold record into space with
warning messages?
If we knew then what we now know, we could have and
still should, even now send warning messages out as
a warning to warn about Gamma-Ray bursters and the
dangers that our sun (Sol) emits in the form of
Ultraviolet rays, X-Rays and other types of that
damaging radiation that go along with the nuclear
fusion furnace that our sun, Sol emits and sends
out or bombards our solar system with.
The radiation from our own solar-system should be
obvious, but gamma ray bursters come from way, way
far away from us and gamma-ray bursting bodies have
such destructive power that these gamma ray sources
may destroy and may have already desrtoyed countless
planets or civilizations already. We have seen these
gamma ray events from several directions from earth
for many years. They obviously come from all
directions from earth and are not centered in any one
direction from earth.
Sure, it is nice to send out greetings and welcome
to earth, when we send out those probes, but we should
begin, if we truly care, to send out warnings as well!
Our most acceptable forms of radiation include the
very entertaining mobile phones, television, wi-fi,
satellites, weather radar, power lines and nuclear
reactors. Welcome to earth!
