An overhaul of the MacOS Guide was also completed, and contains the App download link, DMG Download Guide, Compile Guide, Gridcoin App Configuration, Trouble Shooting Guide, and App Upgrade Guide here:

Good news, but it seems it needs to be developed more, to be easier in installation.
I.e. I had to install PC version of wallet and I'm rarely using that laptop, but coins from mining come there, so no need for installing second wallet on Mac..
True enough, and we are working on that. I like running the wallet on my Mac, because I think it is more secure there, and I am on my Mac everyday. Just to clarify, one can run the wallet on one computer and run Boinc on any number of other computers. Boinc does not have to be on the same computer as your wallet.
Yes, I know it, I run Boinc on iMac as it's more powerful than laptop .
And the wallet I run on another laptop on Windows
Update 3.6.1.0 is now available here: https://github.com/Git-Jiro/homebrew-jiro/releases/
Gridcoin version 3.6.2.0 dmg download is now available.
I have posted on github and other steemit posts on the .dmg and it does not work on my machine running 10.10 so there are limitations such as jiro compiled it with qt5 and its not backwards comparable and requires qt5 and well since that requires 10.11 and it needs to be fixed/worked on for older systems... Similar to why a year ago I worked on the porting on the gridcoinresearchd client to ppc64 and was going to work on Dec Alpha , Mips covering the r4000 to r15k and SGI machines or clones along with sun5c and older as there are so many surplus systems out there that would make great linux/bsd/unix gridcoin nodes although currently only Windows has the neural network so really until then those systems will not help so its /dev/null and mute similar to the client/daemon needs to dump its 1 network port limitation adapted from using the Bitcoin Core code to build the networking layers of this coin with peer/black and what ever other coins Rob google'd and snagged code snippets from. So lets not run all this song and dance , so Gridcoin runs on only the latest and greatest mac hardware and you cannot brew it on older systems.... Sorry but with a model for a Coin that uses the spare un-used idle resources this seems like a model development should not take... Or maybe this was just his first packaging of a .dmg? You can just go cli and compile from source , still does not work since it wants to build the GUI and you have to tell it no.
Need to make it QT4 backwards compatible and or the choice to go CLI and GUI as an option. I run OSX 10.9 ( i might upgrade I have 10.10 - 10.13.2 ) on a Dell Latitude E6410 i5 machine and was really excited to see a .dmg as I had been working and finished porting the client to PPC64 ( the power series CPU is still running strong currently Power8 ) and there are many IBM blade systems that would be great to run Gridcoin nodes on along with an excess of G3-G4-G5 Mac's that are capable machines especially if you run Linux on them. Unfortunately Hackintosh OSx86 10.9 will not install the needed X-code tools to brew QT5 so OS X 10.10 I would assume is a minimum requirement for the Gridcoin client until someone ports and compiles a QT4 version option , this limits a large market of spare machines sitting collecting dust... If I knew more about OSX I would do it myself , but there is a need for a client for older systems not just bleeding edge. Yep I will repost and continue to get on your ass about this until you do something about it.. I might start on your Github in issues if you keep ignoring.
We used to have Qt4 support but it was removed (#792 and #801) since it was unnecessary maintaining support for an unmaintained Qt series. The minimum requirement is now Qt 5.0 unless there are some compile issues which haven't showed up when building with <5.6. You could try Qt 5.5 which supports OSX 10.7.
