You are ignoring potential future applications. Most of the mathematics we take for granted today had little or no use when it was first discovered. While unlikely, there may very well be a use case for amicable numbers some time down the line. Moowrapper, I see no value in.
That said, compared to some other projects with very clear, current use cases I totally see where you are coming from.
Of course, its just that if amicable numbers have any application in the future, we have not only computed enough of them , but would be much more efficient to compute them in the future when they are needed. Same goes with the prime numbers.
I see no fault in that logic. =)
