I hopped on IRC right after joining this whole BOINC/Gridcoin thing. I left cause of the drama that went down with the idle game and all the nonsense in the main channel. Some toxicity, chatter about some dudes porn servers, etc. I miss it cause of the tip bots, that was fun. !rainactive 4 20!!!! =) I didn't know that grctip was gone, sad to hear.
End of the day this is an internet community so drama, unfortunately, is gonna be a thing. IRC was a resource that I miss but not enough vs all the bs that took place there for me to venture back.
Fortunately, Gridcoin seems to be stronger than the lame members of its community so we're good there. My thanks to all involved in keeping it up and running! I'm here for the SCIENCE! and making a few bucks on the side with potential to make considerably more are definitely a bonus.

Yeah we have our dramas as a community. Some are solved with alacrity and some seem to end up simmering as an undertone.
We do need to be mature and put these disagreements aside, firstly for the good of the community and secondly for our own good mental health.
Let's get GRCtip or some tipbot working on IRC again .. I'd do it myself if I had the knowledge and time ..
