The pure biochemical model is obsolete. It requires too much infrastructure and specialization to cover the myriad subdivisions of health. In the end, chemistry is physics, and biochemically, it can all be broken down to +/-. There is not much computing power needed to decide whether positive or negative is required. Medicine should, at this point, be setting broken bones and sewing people up. Disease is nothing more than a for profit industry, with no good outcomes that wouldn't be better without it.
