Gridcoin - Weekly project update (wk40)

in #gridcoin5 years ago (edited)

Here is my weekly Gridcoin (GRC) earnings update for whitelisted projects.

From this week, the information gathering has changed and I’m now using the Gridcoin Network scraper file, BOINCStats and CoinMarketCap based on which I calculate the earnings in GRC and USD for systems with a RAC of 1000. Further details can be found in the definitions section below.

In case the tables and charts are unclear, you can also find this article on whaleshares which has a better display quality.

Project whitelist status update

There haven’t been changes to the number of whitelisted projects last week, this means you can earn Gridcoin (GRC) crunching 19 BOINC projects.

Individual project developments

The tables below contain four indicators, presenting the project development over a period of one week, one month, three months and one year.

Gridcoin project charts

The charts below provide the longer-term trends for the active users and whitelisted projects.

Definitions

  • Gridcoin Network RAC = The total RAC of all systems on the Gridcoin network for the project.
  • Gridcoion Network RAC vs Overall RAC % = The proportion of RAC the Gridcoin network has contributed as part of the overall RAC for the project.
  • GRC per 1k system RAC = The amount of GRC you will receive for a system per 1000 RAC. Example: You have a system which is running Rosetta@home with a RAC of 3500. According to the chart on 30-Sep, you should gain 3.5 x 0.44 GRC = 1.54 GRC per day for this system.
  • USD per 1k system RAC = The amount of USD you will receive for a system per 1000 RAC. Example: You have a system which is running Cosmology@home with a RAC of 4700. According to the chart on 30-Sep, you should gain 4.7 x $0.00284= $0.013 per day for this system.

Gridcoin is an open source cryptocurrency (Ticker: GRC) which securely rewards volunteer computing performed upon the BOINC platform in a decentralized manner on top of proof of stake.

BOINC (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing) is a distributed Internet platform launched beginning of 2002 and rewards participants with credits for performed work. BOINC is an application available for multiple Operating Systems and utilises the unused CPU and GPU cycles on computers to perform scientific work.

Awesome you were able to make the changes parejan! I know it is more complicated to do now that we are across more than one team.

Thanks @jamescowens. It will be very interesting to see if we are going to get an increase in overal CPIDs and RAC output on the various projects.
