you can download the gridcoin snapshot here: https://download.gridcoin.us/download/downloadstake/signed/snapshot.zip
Note: The snapshot will not fully sync your client, but will rather bring you up to 80-90% sync. Allow your client to manually sync after the snapshot has been implemented.

    Once you download and unzip the snapshot file (blk0001.dat) you drop it in (and replace the original) the gridcoin data folder. For widows: '%appdata%/Roaming/GridcoinResearch', For Linux '~/.GridcoinResearch, For Mac "Library/Application Support/GridcoinResearch

      I left it overnight @ work. Sync'd now. I do need to buy a few coins, right? Any specific number of coins?

      Just bought 2k. I am waiting to stake starting tomorrow!
