Change GRUB Background With Images On Linux

GRUB (Grand Unified Boot Loader) is a bootloader that is often used by Linux operating system. Grub also allows users to use more than one OS, and users can choose which OS to run.

By default, Grub backgrounds are mostly plain. Well for those of you who are bored with that background - that's it, you change it with the image you want.

How to Change GRUB Background With Images

The way we will use to change Grub's background is very simple. Follow the steps - steps like below.

The first thing we should do is to copy the image file we will make into the / boot / grub directory.

If you use Ubuntu, you can use nautilus in super user mode. How:


Sudo nautilus


Or want to copy directly through the terminal, by:


sudo cp Documents/wall.jpg /bo


After the image file in the copy, the last step is we have to update the grub itself, how:


sudo update-grub

That way background grub has changed. Try restarting the computer. For the picture that has become like the picture below:
