Guerilla Marketing pt. 1 - Steemit Sandcastle on Margate Beach

So I have been trying to think of ways to market Steemit and share it with others on the streets and grab there attention. I live near a busy beach and had a bit of an "Aha" moment: A Steemit sandcastle! Now I've never really made many sandcastles like this before but I decided to give it a shot.

It turned out to be fun way to spend a Saturday on the beach with my family.

This is Khaya, a friendly 16 year old homeless boy. It's quite a sad story because he was kicked out of a homeless shelter for children, because he is too old. They do not take children over the age of 16 and now he has nowhere to go.

He was so inquisitive as to what we were up to he decided to join in and help us build the castle, I told myself anything this post makes anything I will find Khaya and help him in any way I can. So if you're feeling at all charitable, your up votes will be greatly appreciated by Khaya, I am sure. I will follow up in a future post with how I spend the Steem, also your suggestions would be appreciated, I don't just want to give him cash, I would rather spend it in a more productive way.

Guerrilla Marketing

From Wikipedia: "Guerrilla marketing is an advertisement strategy concept designed for businesses to promote their products or services in an unconventional way with little budget to spend. This involves high energy and imagination focusing on grasping the attention of the public in more personal and memorable level."

I really enjoy being a member of this new community and I think if we all put our thinking caps on we can share this platform with others in new and unconventional ways. I created a new tag "guerillamarketing" where you can post your ideas to market Steemit in your own communities so we can share our methods and strategies.

The beauty of the Steemit community is most people hear about us through word of mouth or from friends and family, we have taken it upon ourselves to spread the word and share the love.

on of the nicest beaches i have ever been to :)

It is indeed a very nice beach, I'm lucky enough to live here :)

I am very impressed by the people who are doing something for the platform in the real world. On your example others can see how STEEMIT inspires. And no matter what you done: built the plane or made a paper boat with the STEEMIT inscription, in any case, this is a wonderful contribution.

My respect to you:)
