Thanks for the link I was hesitant to power up reading that it would take 2 years to power down. I like the 3 month option better and plan to power up as often as I can! Fairly new here but I'm in for the long haul!

is this what it is now? 3 months? because i'm seeing on mine that it says the same (2 years,104 payments)

Yes 3 months, check again. You can power down by going to your wallet and clicking the little gray down arrow next to Steem Power and then choose Power Down
