Searching and Analyzing Vimeo for "LearnGuitar"

in #guitar7 years ago

Today I searched Vimeo for "LearnGuitar." There were 684 results. If I add a space between the two words then there are 40.8k results. We will analyze the top 3 results for the combined one word query. We will analyze what we find and see how the videos play and other attributes of interest.

The first result came from an account named "Guitar Friendly" the Videos title was: "Learn to Play Guitar - Guitar Strumming Patterns..." and was 10 years old, having 9 loves and 2 comments. The first comment was just thanks that could be for any post. The second said thanks for lesson so at least they analyzed the title. Initially their was some background music, but then it was just a guy playing guitar but you only see the mouth of his face not his eyes and so fourth. The point was to teach a struming pattern. The video had 1471 plays.

The second result came from the channel "OutstandingGuitar.com" the video was titled: "Guitar Lesson Rock Arpeggio." The video had 5 likes, 0 comments and was 8 years old. Similar to the first there was no view of the guy's face, just him playing guitar, playing arpeggios, plucking some strings more deliberately. It was just a lesson for the chord progression using some power chords. The video had 717 plays.

The third result was titled "The Rhythm of Illusion" and was from the channel "Raj Sinai Kunkolienkar". It had 8 likes and was 6 years old. The video had 728 plays. About four minutes into it there is some music playing while a guy plays guitar while another watches, the music is not the guitar playing music though. Then the film goes on to show the guy testing guitars and a guitar shop. Then it shows the guy looking up how to play guitar, so overall an interesting abstract short film about guitar.
