Build a guitar classic
I always wanted a vintage Stratocaster. Been a Buddy Holly fan this seemed like a good idea to me. But the truth is I could never afford to buy one so I took to getting hold of guitar parts and making something that felt right to me. The image I have posted of my guitar is not vintage correct but its got a custom twist with a vintage feel. Below I will give you a breakdown of parts I used to make this guitar.
1. Body was taken form Musima Leadstar guitar. (3 burst back and front)
2. Neck is 22 fret maple with no skunk stripe.
3. Pickups are Alcino V
4. Electrics I use are 3 x CTS pots, vintage cloth wiring, .047 vintage tropical fish capacitor, 3 way switch, wired to 50s spec.
5. Gold coloured hardware.
6. Vintage style bridge.
I did not want to get into too much detail and talk about brands. End of the day you are making something to your taste. Does not really matter what anyone else thinks of your guitar. Its your axe and its just rock n roll man :-)
Needs a Steemit sign or something for proof. Looks cool!
