@krnel.. Imagine a world without guns. Would there be less injustice? Definitely not, because any delinquent will always choose the best available to commit his wrongdoing. The market guarantees the availability of the items in demand. Remember that crime is as old as prostitution (or maybe more, although the definition of crime and the associated legislation is relatively modern). Moreover, anyone who remembers their college history classes can easily compare the living conditions of the old age versus the safety and comfort of the 21st century.
Now imagine that the possession or commercialization of firearms is strictly prohibited. Imagined? Ready. At this time, please consult the statistics of crimes with firearms per capita in 1997 and in 2003 in England, where weapons were banned 4 years ago. Do you notice anything? Already, crimes with firearms per capita doubled between those dates.
This is for the elementary reason that prohibiting weapons only means that obedient citizens of the law can not have them, while criminals get them anyway, and it is easier for them to attack their victims since it is very unlikely that have how to defend themselves
Yup, people who want to harm can and will. Guns just make it easier to externalize harm through a projectile from a distance :P The ideal world is where there are no guns, no violence, etc. But so long as centralized authorities and military have guns, everyone else should have the same rights as well.
you're right friend ... but that will never happen .. is the harsh reality .. a world without weapon or violence ..
