CONTROL YOURSELF
It is easy to fall into a trap of not taking any responsibility of your own actions. Especially when it comes to everyday habits. Let me start by telling you a story of a guy who thought that life was just a pile of unfair chaos and never ending misery. That dude was hopeless. One might have considered him as a loser.
It was a year 2012 and he was working in a dead-end job as a cleaner at a hospital. Once a painful day full of cigarette breaks was over. He crawled himself back to his parents basement to his comfort zone. A fresh bag full of pretty poor quality weed was waiting for him at his computer corner. It was laying just next to a bong that had not been cleaned since it was purchased three (3) months ago. Pile of used tissues were lying around and I can assure you that those had not been used for sneezing. Pizza was already on its way and life was "good". And by good I mean sad.
Days were pretty similar for this fellow. After high school he just kind of gave up and he took life as if it was given to him as it is. He could have not been more wrong. I don't know what hit to him in the end. Maybe it was all the weed that got him enlightened. Maybe it was the fact that he started to gain pregnancy scars due all the weight gain. Maybe it was that one motivational video he saw on Youtube. What ever it was it doesn't matter. Only thing that matters was that he finally woke up one day, looked himself from the mirror and realized that world was not against him. It was in fact himself who was against himself. That day he did not smoke any weed nor cigarettes. Instead after work he went to the gym. Neither he masturbated watching, to say the least, disturbing pornographic material until 2 am that night. Instead he went to bed by 10 pm. You see he understood one thing. It is you and ONLY YOU, who is responsible of what happens to you. You can create your own reality.
Of what does the realty of a person form of then? It forms out of everyday habits. Those things are about 90% of your day. People run on autopilot most of the time. However that autopilot is programmable. This means that people can program themselves to be either productive or lazy. They say that it takes about 10 to 14 days to form a new habit. After a month it has already become a part of your life. For example there are NO "morning people" and "evening people". However there are people who have a habit of waking up early and go to bed early. There are also people who have a habit if watching Netflix until 2 am and waking up late and still feeling like they were hit by a train. It is all depended on the habits one formed for himself.
This is just the first chapter of my attempt to form a habit to become a blogger here on Steemit. Feel free to comment on my post and tell me if you liked the style or should it be changed somehow? My name is Sando Sulander and I kindly wish you an awesome day!
Remember, everyday is a great day to form a new life changing habit!
