Cyber security and attacks on private networks and computers are on the rise. With the recent HBO attack and the May WannaCry global attack, companies and individuals around the world are looking for alternatives to protect their sensitive information. Decentralized storage networks such as the Sia and STORJ network may offer the solution for these issues. Hacking a decentralized network will prove to be much more difficult than hacking a personal computer. It may be more cost effective and much more secure to store new episodes of Game of Thrones on a distributed network, rather than on the servers and computers of affiliates.
Tell me what you think?
You are still trusting the security of the nodes that the data is sitting on and the security mechanisms implemented by the humans . I like that it would be mitigated out in encrypted hashed chunks via a decentralised network est. Imo dont see companies going for this. Never underestimate the hackers time and time again they prove you wrong.🐱💻🐱💻
