The prompt image is this one
lovely scenery by @marcoriccardi
And here's my haiku
Snoring by the grass
An instant frozen in time
But a motor roars...
I'm gonna go ahead an make it haibun by adding an explanation!
I've always been a worrier. So even when I'm relaxing, like one would do in this calm setting, I feel like there's a small fly buzzing by my ears and even the littlest of things can pull me out of that nice tranquil mood, reminding me that duty calls
So I was looking at this image, getting into the light atmosphere it brings about, thinking of easy times and chilling under a tree, when I noticed the car in the back and it completely derailed my train of thought!
"Responsibilities" are always there, stalking...
Welcome to the contest, Amirani!
I've little experience with writing haiku so you won't see me giving you any sort of technical feedback whatsoever. (I'll leave that to the other denizens of the Bananafish Realms!) 😎
Your haiku gave me a jolt as I imagined being rudely awakened by a neighbor with a mower (or by a bloodthirsty one like from Maximum Overdrive)! As for "responsibilities", they loom, they lurk and they won't take a rake upside the head as incentive to stay away. 😂
One note for you when using tags. Unless the recent changes to the platform have changed it, the first tag you place a post under (in this case - haiku) is the only one that can't be edited after you submit your post. The other four are able to be changed afterwards if you choose. Oh, and for the Mizu No Oto contest, we use "haikucontest" as the first tag (that makes it easier to find all of the entries 😁).
Hey, thanks a lot for your comment!
That kind of jolt was exactly what I experienced when I focused on that car back there, so it's a good thing I was able to transmit that ahaha
Really appreciate the notes on tags x) I'll be sure to be more careful about my tagging on upcoming posts!
Thank you @brisby :*

Welcome to Mizu No Oto!
I just adore when participants make a full post and write down a haibun that opens a window on their heart!(so I can vote it with all the Bananafish trail)
