awww i love the idea of these two having run away together (coot and a pigeon - I think) like modern, feathered Romeo and Juliet, they couldn't come from more different worlds and looking at the picture after reading this, they do have a sense of togetherness!

Exactly @calluna: a coot and a rock pigeon! I was saving this for the proclamation post... pigeon and dove are somewhat synonims, but many called the other bird a duck, altough is very different-looking. But it's not so important, at the end... the haikus are beautiful anyway!
