The poetic contest of Bananafish, now with a jackpot of 3 to 5 SBI

For those that want to unleash their poetic potential, here is how this contest works:
• Look at the prompt image and let yourself be inspired by it.
• Write a haiku related to the prompt image. The haiku should be composed by 1-3 short verses with no title. The classical haiku form is 3 verses of 5/7/5 syllables, but other forms are allowed, as long as they remain in absolute brevity.
• If you aren’t confident with English enough, you can write your haiku in Spanish, French, or Italian as well. Only remember, if you write in languages different from English, please include an English translation for other readers.
• Post the haiku on your blog or in the comment section below this post. If you make your own post, don’t forget to put the link to it in the comment section below!

• Kireji (切れ字), a cut between the 1st and the 2nd verses, or between the 2nd and the 3rd; the cut can be grammatical, as a sign of punctuation, or it can be a cut in the meaning, like two different images.
• Kigo (季語), an explicit or implicit reference to a season, that defines the time of the year in which the haiku is composed or referred to.
• Sabi (寂), the sense of the inexorable passage of time, the beauty or serenity that accompanies the advance of age, when the life of the objects and its impermanence are highlighted by patina and wear or by any visible repairs.
• Wabi (侘寂), the taste for frugal and natural things, rustic simplicity, freshness or silence; it can be applied to both natural and artificial objects, or even non-ostentatious elegance.
• Mono no aware (物の哀れ), empathy with nature and human life; the "feeling of things", nostalgia, regret for the passing of time, understanding of the changeability and of the transience without suffering.
• Yūgen (幽玄), sense of wonder and mystery; it represents the state of mind produced by the inexplicable fascination of things, the feeling of an 'other' universe, full of mysterious unity.
• Karumi (軽み), beauty in simplicity; poetic beauty reflected in its simplicity, free from preconceptions and moral judgment.
• Shiori (しおり), gentleness; the levity and the delicate charm that radiates from the verses, where things are evoked in the reader without aggressiveness or excessive explicitness.
Submission deadline: Wednesday 20th February, 11:59 PM, GMT -7 (Pacific Daylight Time).
The results will be out on Thursday 21th February, 1:00 PM, GMT -7 (Pacific Daylight Time).

Hello @yasu24, @f3nix writing. Yes, both me and @marcoriccardi (my real life great friend) are interested an fascinated by Japanese culture. We both love haiku poetry. He taught it to me, runs the contest and he's a longtime haijin. Besides, I'm a Wado Ryu Karate-do martial artist, following grand master Katsutaka Otsuka, whose honbu dojo is in Tokio. Visiting Japan is definitely in the top position of the to-do list! I can hear them, see them with their brooms. When I was working, I always liked the before and after hours, when no one was around, that I had the place to myself. (No, I didn't clean, but I did have some unusual jobs)

Se han presentado ejercicios que asumen interpretaciones un tanto disímiles del tiempo estacional que estaría registrado en la fotografía de @marcoriccardi: ¿apogeo o final del invierno? Esto, lejos de ser una desventaja, ha contribuido a dar visiones muy interesantes. Entre mis favoritos están los ejercicios de @wakeupkitty, @ccaallvviinn, @tristancarax, @solperez y @acostacazorla. Me inclino especialmente por los dos últimos, pues aprecio en ellos una carga muy poética, lo que hace difícil mi voto definitivo. Así, pues, me decido por dar mi voto a @solperez. Dando cuenta del tiempo en tránsito (Navidad), la visión del hablante se deja tomar por una nostalgia profunda: la de la infancia ausente, que se manifiesta como imagen denotativa y a la vez connotativa, es decir, metafórica; pero, más aún, esa visión es presentada por medio de una imagen muy significativa y hermosa: temporalidad y nostalgia se experimentan como un reflejo: "vive en espejos", que aludiría a los cristales de las ventanas, pero, sobre todo, al destello de la luz sobre la mesa.
Mi voto de esta semana es para manoldonchev,
porque logró un enfoque interpretativo, diferente
al de la mayoría.

I'll be back to upvote the vote section tomorrow, @bananafish (you know I'm good for it :)). Would like to cast my vote for @mllg this week. Her poem distinguishes itself not only for beauty but also because it reads so well in English and Spanish. That's quite unusual.
This week my vote goes to @solperez, I liked very much his haiku, the approach she gave it and the poetic charge with which she described it.
