Today’s Japanese Words: ロボット🤖, ハロウィン🎃

robotto, “ROBOT.” harouin, “HALLOWEEN.”

I chose the words “robot” and “Halloween” today, inspired both by the festive atmosphere of Halloween currently all around in gray-skied Niigata, Japan, and also the picture of my son below, with the seating staff robot at our favorite local sushi shop.

Halloween, and the month of October in general, is one of my favorite times of year. The colors, the weirdness, the costumes and assuming an alternate identity all fascinate the artist in me. I love it.

Please enjoy this little slice of “Halloween life in Japan,” from me to you.

BOO!

Great piece of work, gave you my full UV!

interesting photos dear @kafkanarchy84

Very cute son ♥did you buy costumes for him ?😁✨

We are gonna make a costume, so spent a lot of time at the secondhand stores today :)

Japan has always seemed fascinating to me. Here in Spain there is not much Halloween culture yet. In our culture, tribute is paid to the dead ancestors on 1 November. It is known by the name of all Saints.
