It is due to the camera and lens but more so the lens it is a macro lens so the closer you take the photo the more detail you are going to get. Just having the lens and camera does not mean you will have great photos. You have to learn to manually focus on what you want people to see, and if you can not do this it will not make a difference what camera and lens you use. This is especially true with macro photography.

Ah . . that makes perfect sense. It's easy to spot a snapshot compared to a professional photograph. The professionals take the time to learn the techniques to showcase a subject matter SO much better. What is your favorite subject matter to photograph?
