Hello everybody,
as I promised you some time ago, I am going to show you some pictures of my new bike "Stella del mattino".
I have already introduced you the handmade steel frameset I made some years ago in my workshop in Lacremò with this post: Copper plated steel, another way to say steel is real which comes from this project: first bike steel frame from 2011, stella del mattino of the last 2011.
"That is the artist's job: take mineral rock from dark silent earth, transform it into shining light-reflecting form from sky."
Philip K. Dick
The Man in the High Castle
The bike is single speed with Miche wheels and crankset; Deda elementi seatpost, stem and handlebar; Selle Italia saddle and SRAM bakes.
It will be my luxury bike for the next years.
I am going to show you some details of this almost new lugged frameset.
Lost wax lugs are the main elements to make a bicycle frameset in a traditional way.
It gives a vintage bike taste even if it is not.
The headset is a Campagnolo record 1 inch, threaded as you can see it in the pictures below.
This one is my very second frame as it is written on the left of the star shape cutout, if you don't know what I mean for cutout you could take a look here: ...making a bicycle frame, the first cut!
I usually mark on the bottom bracket the number of the frame at the moment I am close to start my 16th steel frame.
I forgot to remember you that I am posting on steemit the entire process of making an handmade custom steel frame, on the links below you could check and read it, if you like #handmade things.

@ebi16 great to hear it :-)
yeah, it reminds me a happy childhood. I had it when I was a kid and someone stole it. After that, I have like a silent desire to have it again and probably, I will buy it when I have such amounts of money :)
