BOOKBINDING: A work in progress, and still learning (II): Making THE SPINE.

This is a very fine and nice cardboard, with the exact width for this task: about 1 mm.

Application of leather "ribs" to the cardboard:

Cutting a leather cover for the spine:

Taking measures and then putting some glue on the right place:

Stretching the leather on the spine, which in turn rests on a PVC tube, on my thighs:

Several turns of nylon rope help to bond the glue:
