汉服，又称汉衣冠、汉装、华服，是从黄帝即位到公元17世纪中叶（明亡，清剃发易服，服饰乃改）历经4000余年，21世纪初，一些人通过考据汉服，恢复传统礼仪，祭祀先贤，推广传统学说，宣传传统乐器，汉服再次走进人民视野。
汉服的基本特征：交领右衽（兼有盘领，直领），褒衣大袖（亦有窄衣小袖），无扣结缨（几乎不用纽扣，而于腋下结缨系带），线条流畅，飘逸潇洒（这两点是与同为华夏文化体系的日韩衣冠区分的鲜明特征）与同期的西方服饰相比，中国服饰在人性上具有无可争辩的优势。当西方人用胸甲和裙撑来抑制女性的身体发育时，宽广的中国服装已经意识到了让身体随意伸展的特点。

While Westerners use breastplates and culottes to inhibit the development of the female body, broad Chinese clothing has realized the characteristic of letting the body stretch at will.
