Spending time with your daughter is certainly like meditation. I try to do my mediation in the early morning and again later in the afternoon to keep myself centered. Routines are important to help us live less stressful lives. My routines often get knocked askew and then the day goes haywire I have learned to build in a little wiggle room in case things do go wrong. I am usually up between 3 and 4 every morning which means for me it's lights out early too. I have grown sons whoalso follow an early day schedule. It seems to work for us...
