We can think about things, turn them over in our minds a million times, play our possible best scenarios, but really when it comes down to it, you have to go with your heart and move forward. Maybe things will go well. Maybe they’ll turn out poorly.
Every decision brings with it some good, some bad, some lessons, and some luck. The only thing that’s for sure is that indecision steals many years from many people who wind up wishing they’d just had the courage to leap.
Decisions are the hardest moves to make, especially when it’s a choice between what you want and what is right.
Did I make the right decision? Did I make the wrong decision? Let’s face it, who hasn’t taken a decision and gravely regretted it? But, with a few simple pointers to set you in the right direction, taking decisions can be a whole lot easier.
The biggest communication problem is we do not listen to understand. We listen to reply. A moment of patience in a moment of anger can save you a lifetime of regret. Make sure you really understand what the problem is, before you try to find an answer.
You can never make a full decision on only a little information. Most times, all the information is not all readily right there for you to see. This is where your intuition comes in. If you’re feeling a lot of hesitation but logically sounds fine, then it may not be something to dive into.
If you’re feeling drawn to it, then either it’s the right thing or there’s a lesson in it that a part of you wants to learn. If you have a lot of really good feelings inside even though doubts may enter your mind later, then going with it is probably a much better road to follow.
Let your intuition be your guide, but keep your mind at an alert to process what that sense is telling you.
If you’re having a hard time arriving at a decision, procrastinate; better to delay than to make a bad decision in haste. If we don’t take right decisions at the right time, then we don’t get right results at the right time of the day.
Time has a wonderful way of showing us what really matters
Every day spent procrastinating is another day spent worrying about that thing. Do it now, and move on with your life. Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is heavy. You may delay, but time will not. Never do tomorrow what you can do today. Procrastination is the thief of time.
Mind-set is everything. Nothing will slow your progress like a negative mind-set. One your mind-set changes, everything on the outside will change along with it. Having the right mind-set can get you through any battle. Finding that right mind-set is the real battle.
There is never a right or perfect time to do something, but with the right attitude and mind-set, you can make it the right time.
What kind of mindset do you have?
So much of what I’ve learned, so much of what’s good in my life, was learned because something bad happened, or from making the wrong decision. Through bad decisions I learned how to find the ways to make the right one.
The best part about life is that every morning you have a new opportunity to become a happier version of yourself.
