Where to spend your vacation if not in Puerto de la Cruz. The city in the northern part of Tenerife Island will make you fall in love with it from the very first minute. Ancient streets, black beaches, gorgeous ocean waves, fishing harbors, palm trees and museums. You will find something amazing for yourself in every corner. And we will start with the fishing museum.
Walking along the streets of the island, my husband and I came across an open door. At first, we did not understand that it was a museum, and then we saw a sign on the wall at the entrance and decided to go inside. The museum turned out to be free. Moving from the entrance into the exhibition hall, I looked at the exhibits with bated breath.
Each model is made with soul and high craftsmanship. In these exhibits, every detail is thought out: from the anchor to the stern. And this cannot but amaze. We looked at each object in this museum with admiration. There were also miniature houses here. We had such a feeling that we had arrived in old Spain in an old fishing harbor, that in a few minutes we would be rushing off to the ocean to fish on one of these ships.
The museum consists of two floors. There are also old photographs and some stories in the museum. Very exciting and educational. Not far from the museum there is also a fisherman's restaurant, which you can visit after the museum. But do not forget that you have to pay at the restaurant!
