It is with great pleasure I share with you my today’s journey to the office how I transit from Lagos mainland to Lagos island. Lagos is the commercial hub of Nigeria so as such different activities thrive both on the mainland and the island. What connects the two places is a very long bridge called the third-mainland built across the Atlantic Ocean.
Firstly, I stay on the mainland and my office is situated on the island so I can start sharing my transition with you guys. At about 7:30 am I boarded a bus outside my estate to get to Oshodi, a very popular place in Lagos that connects the mainland to the island. Oshodi has a very big terminal that houses buses going to different parts of the state and the country as well.
On getting to the terminal I boarded a bus going to the island where we passed through the third mainland bridge and arriving at the urban places located in the island. Alighting from the third mainland bridge you get to ikoyi a high end area dominated by the elites and rich people. Ikoyi is a place where you find beautiful structures and skyscrapers. I encountered traffic at the ikoyi link bridge. You can see waters and boat around because it is surrounded by water.

I got to the office at about 9:00am, changed into my work clothes and started maintenance on some equipment we had at in the office in preparation for the forthcoming events we have. We stacked three array speakers each on the stand to check the weight of the pulley if it will be able to hold. We tested them each and it worked. I joined in cleaning some of the mixers too. Virtually that’s how my day went today in the office.
