Wow that was a really big dip last night, all the cryptos got recked. I think this happens every once in a while as the "Huckexchanges" need to clear out all the over leveraged noob crypto traders. Once they're liquidated, the pump usually continues until the music stops again. If this bull market is for real, then crypto should bounce. If the cycle just ended, then look out below, it's all over! I hope not, things were just starting to look up, however that's when the the bears always strike, when you least expect it. Fingers crossed the cycle will continue to the moon, just not for HBD any time soon from the looks of it. π€π€π€

Damn! That's nasty and not really a good deal of a news. Especially the huge expectations we had on it to spike up. But it's ok it could still turn around positively in our favour. Just give it time.

Funny how people want a stable coin but are excited when it goes up. A pegged coin should remain so. I hope they are able to atleast achieve this once and for all soon.

Hive is holding the highest libels it ever has. Every other time we broke .75 Cents it was a flash pump and came form fast. Itβs great right now
I decided to withdraw my HBD from savings exactly three days before the dip happened. i figured that the 10% interest I was less than I would receive if I sold the HBD at 1.2.
Woe is me. I executed the withdrawal too late,but i guess that is what the three day waiting period is for.
Just wait for the next pump and sell it! HBD always does this, it is doing what it was programmed to do. Yeah that 10% is a trap, it really has to be a lot higher to make it worth holding in savings, like 30% - 50% or something.
I don't mind the trap.
I decided to play the strategy where I accumulate and periodically sell off my HBD. It is nice being able to throw the HBD in savings where it accumulates a little bit of interest. This saves me the trouble of having to time day trades to earn from the HBD.
Executing HBD to HIVE conversions is also fun. I did 23 of those last month.
The three days isn't that big a deal since HBD was pumped for around a month. The problem the above commenter had was simply waiting too long.
Yeah we had plenty of time, it was great. I think next time it will be the same, the early birds will catch the HBD worm. I'll do way more next time now that I got the hang of it. It's probably wise for me to have some sort of power down in place just for that.

I see the point you made now. HBD will never be really pegged and itβs just stealing value from Hive. I donβt understand why people are cheering for it to go $2.00 and beyond. We donβt need two tokens taking or in competition rather for the same investment. I was wrong prior

That said if .95 cents holds Iβm not worried about it. If .95 or so breaks for more then a quick flash crash Iβm not holding it anymore. Will just trade for Hive weekly
I believe hbd is where it should normal be. As a stable coin it isn't suppose to go beyond this range.
BTC dip yesterday seem to have generally affected the market. I think hbd will go past this again. It's just important to take advantage of whatever move hbd makes

What about our hive which is in a process of being converted? That will still come out profitable right?
At 1.05 per HBD it is break even, so you won't be losing any money if it were there. But part of the conversion is still selling the HBD for more than 1.05 to make the profit back in HIVE. Right now HBD is 98 cents so you paid 1.05 for each HBD through the swap so if you sell them for .98 you will incur a loss. You're just gonna have to wait with the HBD and sell it like any other coin when it spikes. I would not do any more conversions right now, never again unless HBD gets well over 1.05. that's the risk of this swap wit the 3 day waiting period, the gamble was that HBD wasn't gonna plunge.
You get the HBD in advance, so there is no risk from HBD dropping. Do the conversion if HBD>1.05 and sell the HBD you get immediately, locking in the profit above 1.05. The risk of the 3.5 days comes in from HIVE possibly dropping and losing more of your collateral), but that mostly hasn't happened (other than off the brief spike up to $1+ and back down).

Here there is a 3k HIVE sent to the hive.fund, but I cant find the conversions to HBD. I looked in hiveblocks for the hive.fund operation.
I don't think there is a virtual op for it, which is certainly not ideal since it becomes hard to track or audit the DHF account. There was some idea about adding one, but I don't know if that was done or if there is a schedule for doing it.

Yeah I was the same yesterday too, I was getting worried about shiba. However after seeing what happened today, I realized I was being way too pessimistic myself.
