What a weird issue to have tied to this blockchain. Why is this extra layer of HBD even added? Is sidechaining on HBD a thing?

    There is also a post explaining it here (from back when it was called "SBD"). All of the economics in the post still apply, just the token name has changed.

    There is more info in the whitepaper. It is part of the actual Hive blockchain (not a sidechain).
