Happy day Steemnian community. There are moments when we face situations of great tension, in which we enter a state of mental fatigue and our body activates a series of reactions with the purpose of avoiding danger. Stress is manifested then generating physical changes that cause emotional instability or can cause diseases.

There are several ways in which stress can be reflected in our body, but it is usually presenting these symptoms:

1. physical symptoms:

  • Pains and discomforts.
  • Lack of energy.
  • Hair loss.

2. Cognitive symptoms:

  • Problems with memory.
  • Lack of concentration.
  • Lack of criteria.

3. Emotional symptoms:

  • Bad mood.
  • Overwhelming feeling.
  • Irritability.

4. Behavioral symptoms:

  • Nervous habits
  • Insomnia.
  • Feeding problems.

What can we do to counteract stress?

Eat healthily🍏.

Take a healthy and balanced diet, consuming foods rich in vitamins and minerals. When we go through periods of stress, you should not want to pretend that nothing happens, since just making small changes in your diet and lifestyle can reduce anxiety considerably and find some relief. Very few people know that there are certain foods that can help fight stress. So here are some of them:

1. Green Tea.

Green tea is full of antioxidants that help a lot to have a positive mood, due to its calming effect on the mind and body. The positive effects of green tea occur more among people who do not drink alcohol or smoke.

2. Blueberries.

Cranberries contain vitamins that, together with minerals, are useful for reducing stress. Regular consumption of blueberries helps you in the treatment of mood disorders, depression, insomnia and others. Great!.

3. Milk.

A glass of milk gives you a good amount of antioxidants. The vitamins and proteins found in milk, fight the free radicals that are released when you have stress, helping to calm you down. 6. Chocolate.
