3 Ways To Control High Blood Pressure! - by @princewahaj

As we all know that nothing can move forward or backward until it receives a force from either side. Same is the case with the blood pressure of our body. It needs to be pumped so that the blood reach different parts of the body and this function is executed by your "Heart". The blood of our body moves through arteries.

There are many reasons for high blood pressure, and just like diabetes, it is becoming very common. The high blood pressure can be deadly and the low blood pressure also. It is obvious that if your blood pressure is low, then the blood is not circulating well to other parts of the body which could cause other functions to stop working (or less efficient).

If high blood pressure is diagnosed to you by your doctor, then instead of worrying and worsening your condition, you should ask the doctor the reasons for high blood pressure. If you've left the hospital then don't worry because we are just about to discuss 3 most important reasons for high blood pressure and the solutions like what to do in those cases.

1 - Lack of Exercising Activity:

It is well known that physicians suggest blood pressure patients to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. The more you do, the better it is for you. You don't necessarily need to do intense exercising. Walking or jogging should be fine. According to the experts, exercising 30 minutes a day can lower your blood pressure and bring it back to normal.

I'd personally suggest you make a schedule like "Walk in the early morning for around 20 minutes" and if you can do "Cycling" too, then this can be really great for mental refreshment as well as for keeping your blood pressure to the normal level. Whenever you experience a sudden rise in your blood pressure, then you should start doing those exercises. In such cases, walking is the best exercise as cycling can be difficult to manage due to the pain in your head.

2 - Stress:

Stress is one of the most important reasons for your high blood pressure. Whenever my mom visits the doctor for this problem, it is usually the first question of doctor to my mom "Are you sure that you didn't take any kind of stress?".

And, it is well known that stress contributes to high blood pressure. You should not take any kind of stress, be it related to business or personal issues. Whatever leads to stress and depression, you should avoid it. But if you've already taken the stress, then use some relaxation techniques to reduce your stress.

3 - High Obesity:

This is a serious problem that can lead diabetes as well. If you're fat enough and also suffering from high blood pressure then you should try to reduce your weight. It might also require some intense workout.

Your diet will play an important role in reducing your weight and maintaining a normal obesity level. Pay attention to your diet plan and only take those meals that don't add obesity. Junk foods can increase your weight very quickly, and I don't think I need to say that you must avoid junk food too, you probably know that already.

So, these are the three reasons for high blood pressure. It is easy to keep the blood pressure within normal limits but only if you take care of those reasons. As for stress and depression, I'd say that those are the major reasons for high blood pressure. Therefore, try to be calm and accept what your life has to offer to you with ease (i.e don't take stress or depression).

Good info here.
I'll just add that any hypertensive person must adhere to clinic visits and medications as prescribed by their doctors.
It's really sad when a hypertensive has a cerebrovascular accident (stroke) because of non compliance to medications.

Interesting post! Thanks for sharing with us your knowledge!

Well done. High blood pressure is recently being treated more aggressively. The American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology have recently updated their blood pressure guidelines. There was a large trial called the SPRINT trial that was stopped 3 years into a 5 year study because the outcomes between the experimental groups were so different. The outcomes of patients who were more vigorously controlled with a systolic blood pressure (top number) of 120 were much better than those who were managed less intensively (systolic blood pressure of 140).

I like to encourage my patients with hypertension to pick up a home blood pressure monitor and record the measurements before or once we start a new medicine. This will allow more accurate tracking of blood pressure and avoid unnecessarily treating "white coat hypertension" (elevated blood pressure in your doctor's office).

Nicely explain the main three reasons behind developing HTN. I think regular exercise it the main thing. it will prevent or reduce obesity too. So those who are already having HTN or at risk of having HTN, need to do regular exercise.

A really easy to cure health problem but most people do nothing against it. They accept it until the consequences have arrived with much more bigger health problems. And then it is mostly too late.

Garlic can be helpful to control your blood pressure.
