Health and family welfare minister Mohammad Nasim on Thursday ruled out the possibility of spreading Chikungunya and dengue as the government has been taken adequate preventive measures for combating the two mosquito-borne disease.
In the backdrop against detection of huge number of Chikungunya cases the previous year, we have been taken all-out measures to prevent Chikungunya and dengue diseases this year, he told a meeting on ‘Chikungunya and dengue diseases.
Minister for health and family welfare Zahid Maleque, secretary of health service division Sirajul Haque Khan and director general of Directorate General of Health Service Abul Kalam Azad, among others, addressed the meeting.
Nasim urged all concerned to create mass awareness by taking different preventive measures to stop outbreak of Chikungunya.
So, both Chikungunya and Dengue diseases should be prevented, if people keep their houses clean and destroy all potential mosquito breeding sources.
