If you want to be a full of energy and happy person (and I think everyone wants), you need to know how to deal with fatigue. You also have to be able to distinguish between a temporary drop in vitality from depression or simple laziness. In fact, fatigue can be overcome in several simple ways. Check what are the natural ways to fatigue and what products will quickly give you energy!
Fatigue can be difficult to overcome because it is quite a vague signal of the decline in the condition of our body. It can be physical fatigue, mental fatigue, a symptom of illness or simply lack of something in our lives. Fatigue can often be mistaken for laziness, apathy or simply unwillingness to do something. It is also easy to take mild depressive states for normal fatigue. So if the methods given below do not help you, it is worth considering whether something in your life does not create a feeling of lack of strength, aversion and apathy. It may turn out that you will need specialist help.
However, I hope that nothing terrible happens to you and you just sometimes have worse days, reduced motivation and energy, or worsening mood. However, remember, not to confuse fatigue, e.g. after long-term work, high physical activity, etc. with the feelings described above . If you are tired, because you work a lot or have a lot of responsibilities, you just have to rest, and do not wonder how to overcome fatigue, because it will not work for your body or for you.
We reach for natural methods - no medications and wonderful tablets that you just swallow and get a power. I hope you realize that the fatigue pill does not exist.
Causes of frequent fatigue
Why do you often yawn, you find it difficult to concentrate, you have no verve and energy and would you like to go to sleep? Well, there may be many reasons, and here are the most likely and common ones:
1. Weather changes, cooling, autumn
On many of us, the weather works like an oracle - I feel the fall of mood on rainy days, but I oppose as good as I can. Constant changes in weather cause jumps and pressure drops . Well, you can't change the weather. But you can change your attitude.
2. Lack of one or several nutrients in the diet
This is a very common reason for chronic fatigue. If our body does not get some essential element, well, it will fail a bit. Magnesium, potassium, iron and large doses of vitamins are particularly important in this context.
3.Lack of passion, joy and doing something that is not pleasant
Often fatigue is caused by the lack of a specific purpose in life and ordinary "vegetation" from day to day. If you do not know what you live for, you do not have the feeling that your presence in this world is needed, you can feel apathy. The solution may be finding a hobby, developing interests or changing your lifestyle. If you do something that you do not enjoy on a daily basis (e.g. you have a job you can not stand), you do not enjoy every day and you do not have the energy to act. Of course, we often must do some things in life that we don't like, but if you do them non-stop, every day for a long time, do not be surprised that you are tired.
4. Lack of physical activity
If you do not move completely, or do it extremely rarely, accept that you will be eternally tired. I'm not saying, that you should run 10 km every day, or press a barbell in the gym five times a week. At the beginning, regular walks, bike or stretching are enough . Try it, you'll feel better right away.
5. Lack of friends, a loved one, lack of company
Loneliness is bad. Even if you have a million things and responsibilities you MUST find time for important people in your life. It is thanks to them that we smile more often, we feel that we have someone to live for and want to want! Do not neglect your relationship with loved ones, because it is a very important element of life balance.
6. Health or emotional problems
Here, I will not tell you how to help yourself - if you suffer from a disease or depression, be sure to report to a specialist. Do not drag it, go straight away - you'll end up at the doctor anyway. Do not count on the fact that it will "pass by itself", because too many people paid for this approach with losing their health or even live.
Natural ways to fatigue
Be active
It often seems to us that if we are tired, we should go to sleep. If you've been working all day or you've been realy busy doing, something of course, you should rest. But if you lie in bed all day (because you have a cold for example), you feel even more lethargic. Similarly, if you sleep too long (I know people who sleep 10-12 hours a day and are still tired!). This is because too long "rest", lounging, or sleeping, brings the opposite effect to the intended one, while physical activity causes an increase in energy. So if you feel tired and at the same time know that you are not too physically active, you will definitely help with regular exercise, preferably in the open air. In addition to oxygenating the body, you will also improve your mood and you will be able to rest after training.
MY TIP: regularity is very important, so do not demand too much from yourself: start with a short and moderate activity, so that you do not get discouraged after 3 days. When the daily movement enters you into blood, you can gradually modify, extend and increase its intensity.
Drink water from a potato
I know that this does not sound very encouraging, but believe me, works. It is a great way to add energy. Why? Because potatoes contain a lot of potassium and magnesium, which improve well-being and are responsible for the proper functioning and development of cells in the body.
MY TIP: in the evening, wash medium-sized potato thoroughly and slice it (do not peel!). Put into a cup and pour a glass of water, leave under cover for the night to stretch. Drink on an empty stomach after waking up.
Feed your red blood cells
I mean, take care of providing them with iron , without which they are not able to function, and thus they do not supply oxygen to every corner of your body. Many people think that oxygen inhaled into the lungs automatically spreads around the body, but this is not true - red blood cells are necessary for this. Consequently, insufficient oxygen causes poor cell function and fatigue.
MY TIP: love beetroots and green leafy vegetables, such as kale. Make soups, smoothies and salads from them. Eat as often, as it's possible.
Take care of the right level of magnesium
A very important element that many of us provide too little . The reason is wrong diet, coffee, alcohol and stress. Our body is unable to produce it on its own, which is why we must provide it with food . Everything from the work of the muscles and the nervous system, through the synthesis of proteins and the production of energy requires the presence of magnesium.
MY TP: Of course, natural magnesium sources are the best, not supplementation. See its sources below
Heal your guts
The guts are your second brain and there is no exaggeration in this statement . Besides, they were made of a similar type of tissue and are inseparable from each other. Most serotonin, responsible for good mood, is produced in the gut.
MY TIP: take care of providing the body with the right amount of good bacteria. Eat natural yoghurts, kefirs and silages.
Drink water
Dehydration is one of the main causes of lack of energy. Without water, our blood becomes too thick and does not reach certain corners of the body, so it does not provide them with nutrients and oxygen. Lack of proper amount of water also impairs the work of kidneys and liver , which are responsible for neutralizing and excreting toxins.
MY TIP: take a large jar with a lid and straw, a water bottle or a large cup.. It is important that it's at least 500 ml capacity. Fill it with water and keep it at hand while you are working. You will reach for it automatically and it you'll drink all the water, immediately add a new one. You can add fresh ginger, lemon juice, mint, lime, melissa to it. Also eat soups and drink teas (preferably herbal and green).
Appreciate the nap
Turn another coffee into a nap! Nap is a great thing, thanks to it you will feel like a newborn. Scientists recommend a short sleep during the day, because it reduces tension and stress and gives the body a break . After 10 minutes of naps you will be more rested, than after an hour of sitting on the couch in front of the TV, I guarantee. However, remember what I wrote about too long rest and too long sleep - contrary to appearances, it deprives us of energy, so nap should not last longer than 20-30 minutes.
MY TIP: start with 20 minutes, then you can slightly shorten the nap time. This is the optimal time during which your body can not get into the deep sleep phase yet - if it did, it will be very hard to wake up . Even if you do not manage to fall asleep, just lying in silence, with your eyes closed can relax wonderfully. Try not to think about anything and "turn off" your brain for a moment. Just remember to set the alarm clock!
Try yoga
I'm serious, try it. If you'll not like it, tyou will lose 30 minutes of your life, that's all. But I suspect that after finishing the practice you will not recognize this time as wasted . A huge plus of yoga is that it does not burden the knee and spine, it is great also for people who are overweight, wonderfully strengthens and stretches the body, allows you to calm down and you can practice it without any equipment and without leaving home! Do you have any excuses? Yoga will not only raise the level of your energy, relax and improve concentration, but also oxygenate the body and make you smile.
MY TIP: check out You Tube to find free yoga classes. There are plenty of good yoga teachers on-line.
10 energy-adding products
If you feel a sudden drop in energy, or you know yourself well enough that you know that at a certain time of the day you get tired and drop in vitality, get the following products. Well, if you have one (or several) of them always with you.
1. Nuts
They have a very high content of nutrients and essential fatty acids, which quickly increase the level of energy.
2. Banana
It contains a lot of carbohydrates that add strength and energy, eliminating fatigue. In addition, it is a source of potassium, magnesium and vitamin B6.
3. Beet
The natural sugars contained in the beet quickly add energy that lasts for a long time. In addition, it contains a lot of iron . I recommend a beetroot cocktail: 1 small beetroot, banana, orange, sunflower seeds and water mixed into a smooth smoothie. Sweet and delicious!
4. Spinach
Do you know the American tale about sailor Popey, who ate spinach and got a super energy kick? It was not a fib, aimed at getting children to like spinach, Popeye knew what he was doing! Spinach has a lot of iron, eliminating fatigue and improving the quality of our blood. And the recipes for making spinach are millions! I especially recommend making green cocktails from it.
5. Coconut water or birch water
It contains a lot of electrolytes that wonderfully hydrate the body, contributing to the increase of energy. It's such a healthy energy drink . Remember to always read the composition and buy 100% coconut / birch water, no added sugar and other unnecessary things.
6. Ginseng
A frequently advertised ingredient of pills for immunity and energy. But you do not have to run to the pharmacy, you can buy the whole root, grate and add to the water with honey - delicious. Ginseng helps the body cope with stress, the excess of which is exhausting for him.
7. Linseed and chia seeds
Both of these products contain omega-3 and omega-6 acids, eliminating fatigue and eliminating inflammation. Add them to salads, sandwiches, soups and wherever you can.
8. Green tea
Full of antioxidants that protect our cells and fight free radicals. Gently and safely raises the energy level.
9. Cocoa
I do not mean full of sugar milk chocolate, or a cocoa drink powder, so gladly drunk by children. This is about raw cocoa, without any additives that you can consume in many ways: add to the cocktail (the best in the company of a banana), porridge, make a chocolate milk drink based on vegetable milk, or prepare a delicious chocolate mousse with cocoa, banana and ½ avocado. As a last resort, you can save yourself bitter chocolate, but with a minimum of 70% cocoa and at most one bar, not the entire plate!
10. Pumpkin seeds
A great source of magnesium, protein and healthy fats . I recommend that you always have a small bag of seeds with you.
