I Quit Eating for 28 Days

To Lose Weight
For Better Health
To Attain an Elevated State of Consciousness
To be more like Jesus, for Jesus Fasted for 40 days

I Ran Out Of Money.

I took a Leap of Faith with Steemit, and it didn't turn out so well, so I started fasting.

There are Parasites Living Within All Of Us

On yesterday’s post, @ponts left a comment saying :

Day 4-6 is always the hardest imo. The stomach pains and excrement through the pores is enough to scare most people into putting more poisons back into their body that they were just trying to get out.

Some advice that helped me through my first time was that the stomach pains are not hunger pains. Hunger pain happens in your tongue and throat.

The feeling in your stomach is just the parasitic worms attacking you to feed them what they need to grow. Enemas are a great way to get rid of them, and a raw veganic diet will help keep them away.

This peaked my interest massively, as I had only roughly understood this fact but not in it’s entirety. So I decided to do some digging on the matter. And it turns out..

There are worms all up in your business

From my research on the matter, it seems that for the most part the human body is almost always carrying some form of parasite within us. One site went as far as to say that if you were to cleanse your body, it would take a whopping 6 months before more would be found inside of you, for they are so easy to contract.

You can contract parasites from:

Contaminated foods, especially foods that are a couple days old

  • Undercooked meats, especially pork
  • Uncleaned or contaminated fruits and vegetables
  • Contaminated water, from unsanitary source, like lakes, ponds or creeks
  • Infection through contact with your skin, some being infected from the bottom of your foot

That’s a long ass list.

Once a parasite enter your system, you can expect that they will intend to stay there, feed on the food that you are consuming and reproduce endlessly. Unless affirmative action is taken to remove them, they will be there, and worse, populate within you. I like to imagine they have normal lives, just like us, except, within us.

I have no doubt in my mind, that after eating all of my life, not to mention the fact that I am a slob and will basically consume anything, there are a bunch of parasites living within me. I have no doubt most people have them too.

Just to scare you a little, have a look at what they look like within you.

The absolute scariest case was from Hilde Larsen who posted on here blog https://inspiredbyhilde.com

I am laying down to go to sleep ( Stop reading now if you are going to freak out), and for some reason I reach and feel something that makes me tell my husband I am going to the bathroom. I felt something moving, and I freeze and get out of bed holding my breath! I get to the bathroom, close the door, and litterally pull out a 12 inch ascaries! It was crawling out of me, fully alive! I am standing there with a living roundworm in my hand, by its tail or head, and my heart skipped a few beats. My thoughts are spinning ,what the heck! During all these years I never saw anythng like it. This worm was running for its life, actually leaving me! My inner terrain is no longer livable, and that is a GOD thing. Still, I was blown away by the fact that it was actually still in there! I know I was crazy sick for a long time, but this conferms to me that they are very resistant, AND that we all have them.

This shows us that it is all about the terrain. It is about the cultivating medium, and it is about how we as humans live today. This might seem extreme and scary, but the only difference between this and not seeing anything is that THIS ONE actually came out.

I Come Bearing Solutions

Starve ‘Em Out

This is where fasting, once again is a miracle cure. By not eating, you are starving out these parasites within your body. These parasites will have no other option but to leave for greener pastures.

Doing a fast also help eliminate all the blockages that were caused by the worms. They sit in your gut, and make it hard to pass stools, so old waste accumulate there. It becomes a breeding ground for bad bacteria. Parasitic infections also disturb the gut flora (dysbiosis), which affects digestion and cause constipation, thus blockages. So fasting is great to clean all that mess.

Back to @ponts point:

The feeling in your stomach is just the parasitic worms attacking you to feed them what they need to grow. Enemas are a great way to get rid of them, and a raw veganic diet will help keep them away.

Through my own research, there are so many instances of people passing worms during a fast it almost seems like some that naturally happens when you fast for a long enough period.

My personal friend @ronino, who has just completed a 17 day fast a few days earlier, passed worms as well, and hunger left him completely after that. As such, I am inclined to agree with @ponts.

To think that I would have something new to cover about fasting for 28 days was really not something I thought through, but as I go, it really does seem more and more that the benefits of simply not eating is pretty crazy.

Day 6 of 28

Here we are on day 6! It really doesn’t seem like it has been 6 days since I last chewed on anything.

Today my overall well-being has improved again from yesterday, which was an improvement from the day before. It seems my transitional period is make good strides and once again, things are getting easier and easier from here.

The few things I noticed, is that my resistance to the cold is much lower and I can’t handle the cold quite as well as when I am eating. Not to mention, where I am, up north in the nordic region of Sweden, the temperatures drop quite low. Around this time it goes down to about -5 degrees and it is pitch black by 4pm.

Today I went out to a Christmas market which required riding my bike uphill for a short bit, and waiting in line out in the cold for a solid 20 minutes. By the time I got home, I had spent a good 45 minutes out in the cold, and did honestly, mild exercise at most. The overall experience as quite painful. I take it as my overall state of being to be considerably weakened at this point.

State of Being

Mental state is pretty much at 70% my usual cognitive state, I am still very much functional and am able to absorb information and think critically. Rather that there is a sense of mental fatigue.

Hunger Pangs first thing in the morning was basically non-existent and slowly came back around mid-day, maintaining about at a rate where it is bearable with slight need for self-control. I’d rate it at about 6/10 for the second half of the day, and 2/10 for the first half, giving an average of 4/10 in total, which would be an improvement over yesterday.

Since last night, I felt a lot activity in my lungs and throat. As I was covering yesterday, on how your body works to utilize the most unsavoury compounds within your body for fuel, what I have been experiencing seems to support this hypothesis, as the 3 places of which I have abused the most would be my brain, from extensive drug abuse in the past, and 10+ years of smoking.

I go into detail about my past in a earlier post : Journey of Total Human Optimization : Painful Beginnings

All in all, I’d say I’m making good progress and I expect to see continuous improvement in mental state and for hunger to leave me completely.

I am very interested to see what happens with my parasites as well, but as @ponts pointed out, it is really helpful to know that what you are feeling isn't hunger at all, rather, the parasites screaming. Sort of makes it sadomasochistic in a good way.

Money wise, I still don't exactly have a definitive solution. Steemit isn't paying close to enough, and seeing as how I'm actually losing money some day by using an Upvote Service and 50% goes to Steem Power, I don't exactly have the answer as to how to get home yet. The ticket home costs about $600 USD, so still anybody's guess how I'm going to make that happen.

Till tomorrow,

God Speed Brethren.

I feel like 28 days fasting is too extreme for me but what I do is something called "intermittent fasting" and it has amazing health benefits as well as ability to drop weight fast.

I pretty much eat my daily 2500 calories is a span of 4 hours and the rest of the day im fasting, example(Eat from 1pm-5pm the amount of calories you need, then fast for 20 hours and start eating 1pm the next day).

Intermittent fasting is really good too! I'm not asking anyone to take on what I'm doing for sure 😂😂

I actually intend to revert to almost exactly your schedue of eating short of the fact that I start at 6pm to 10pm!

I'm sure you can see massive health benefits doing so! Also the time and money saver is pretty good too.

actually intermittent fasting has no inherent benefits to weight loss. everything regarding weight loss has to do with your daily caloric deficit. Intermittent fasting is just a tool to better stick to your diet.

Caloric intake(by the foods you eat and drink) < Calories burnt (by doing exercise, walking, sports. even by just sitting there doing nothing except breathing your body burns calories) = you lose weight.
Caloric intake > Calories burnt = you gain weight

The collective body of intermittent caloric restriction research demonstrates no significant advantage over daily caloric restriction for improving body composition.

Link to study/research

While intermittent fasting appears to produce similar effects to continuous energy restriction to reduce body weight, fat mass, fat-free mass and improve glucose homeostasis, and may reduce appetite, it does not appear to attenuate other adaptive responses to energy restriction or improve weight loss efficiency, albeit most of the reviewed publications were not powered to assess these outcomes. Intermittent fasting thus represents a valid--albeit apparently not superior--option to continuous energy restriction for weight loss.

Link to study/research

I too did not experience too much weight loss directly linked to Intermittent Fasting, however I do believe what i does do in regards to fat loss specifically is turning "White Adipose Tissue" into "Brown Adipose Tissue" due to the nature of your body requiring more consistent access to your fat stores for energy given that you go extended periods of time not eating.

In so doing, paired with a surplus of calories burned, it fat would be the go-to energy source making it then beneficial to burning "stubborn fat" which is clear "White Adipose Tissue".

Thank you for the insightful comment for all to understand further! I hope to see you around more often! 😁😁

You're drawing on outdated research. Fasting lowers insulin to absolute minimum levels, which prevents turning food into fat storage and turns your body's energy source to going to fat stores.

Great post, and thank you for the shout-out.
That story of the woman getting out of bed to pull a roundworm out of her is a nightmare!

Thank you very much!

It really is! I honestly cannot imagine that thing coming out of me.. I actually mentioned you again in today's post which I just posted!

I'm going to go drink some fucking bleach now. Thanks for the nightmares.

miracle mineral solution (MMS) works better! And it doesn't kill you when you drink it!

Do you have experiences with MMS?

Oh my god, I'm freaking out by those worms! How long of a fast does it take to get rid of them?

Edit. Okay I'm not as freaked anymore as reading the comments on the video people said those worms feel like itchy. By that I realized I had had some itchy feelings in my ass years ago 😷 but they've luckily gone away. But who knows what still hides deeper in the gut...

Haha I definitely thought before I posted this that I'm going to freak out a person or two. 😂😂 Generally speaking it takes a week or so, however it varies from person to person. It is clear however that once they pass out of your system that hunger goes away completely!

I don't know enough to say if there parasites or not, however I am almost certain we are all carrying some.. If you contract one, and don't take any efforts to remove them, they will stay there indefnitely and reproduce. As such, the sheer odds that you don't have them is incredibly low.

Ok now I'm back to scaring people.

Maybe a little scaring is a good wake up though. The parasites aren't dangerous themselves (at least most of them for we all likely have them, right?), but it's good to be aware of it, so one could get rid of the inconvenience they might cause. I'm thinking of doing a week long fast when I get a chance. I could take a long week holiday from my work and do it then. That'll be left probably for spring though since the Christmas holidays I'll spend visiting relatives.

That my thought!

They aren't exactly life-threathening, the goal of parasites is to take enough so that you don't notice not too much that it kills you. If you die, they die.

They do cause ill-effects in your body and screw with your gut microbiome though, so having parasites are definitely not ideal.

Wow that's great to hear! I'm sure you will have an amazing experience! 7 days is usually the amount of time you want to fast for! Please do post about it on Steemit too! We can start a little fasting community here!!

This (while I know it's not) seems like the worst thing ever to have parasites crawl out of your body. Not that I want them there, but it almost scares me to the point of leaving them. Crazy sounding, I'm sure. Even through the gross part, I am really enjoying following you along on your journey. Keep up the awesome work at it!! You are getting close to inspiring me to do the same....although there is a minor set back with parasites conversation. LOL

Believe me, it scares the hell out of me too! 😂😂

Not that I want them there, but it almost scares me to the point of leaving them.

Your fears are not unfounded, I have similar sentiments! I'd say not much to worry in this regard actually, as, for the most part, they part from your body alongside your general excrement and won't be easy to recognize anyways. That was just an extreme case!

Thank you so very much! The positive encouragement I am getting is really quite astounding to me! I really appreciate it! 😄😄

I'm actually quite surprised at the fact that whatever I am doing is inciting others to take on the same journey! I honestly expected to meet with a bunch of people who would watch in bated breathe for me to fail!
