I rest up with Emergen-C, Zinc, water, and lots of interesting documentaries. I find that by not pushing it I can lower the downtime by half almost on most illnesses.

I feel the same way, but it's so difficult to know for sure. Sometimes I feel I'm being silly laying around when I really "could" get up and do more, though I also have the feeling that I'd be sick longer if I did.
Good point. I do sometimes get up just long enough to satisfy that urge (clean a little maybe), but not enough to overexert.
