RE: Why YOU Should Drink More Water - 10 Benefits And Tips

in #health8 years ago

Seeing this post made me think about ways to remind people about hydration. I looked into it a little bit and saw there are a few options for wearables that monitor hydration. Halo Wearables is one tailored for athletes.

I wonder if there is anyone interested in making something even less invasive than a watch-like wearable.

If I'm working out and going through the day I wouldn't really want anything bulky on my wrist, but wondered if maybe there could be a ring or bracelet or necklace that would monitor hydration and send text alerts to your phone when you should have a glass of water.

I know I should be drinking more, but often get busy and forget. An app that monitored my hydration in real time would go far to help a lot of people. I can see this especially for those who exert a lot of energy, but also being given by insurance providers to customers to try to keep them more healthy and active.

Just a brief idea that came to mind while reading your post.

Yes, some form of jewellery that would measure your hydration levels would be awesome! Many people struggle with this and the regular apps often don't help enough. You are right that there is still much room for improvement in this field.

Yes and a wearable that doesn't look like a wearable. I think most wearables right now do not look very fashionable. Or even some sort of tooth implant that could do all the monitoring without any need to really wear anything at all.
