I tend to think that 90% of all petrochemical pharma is a placebo effect and that these medicine don't do anything more then pulling money out of out pockets.

That is a high number and I am not sure it is true but yes there are placebos and some doctors even admit that they are prescribing it to their patients.
They sell it as a medicine, but they entire pertrochemical pharma has its background in snake-oil. And yes some medicine really work, but when you see how some people live on expensive chemicals and never eat fruit because it is too expensive... And then get cancer and wonder how all the bad chemicals have entered their body.
And yes then there are the 'real' placebo's
But there are also very 'harmless' medicine that doctods prescribe to patients to 'just trust them and give it a try', and people then get depressed for instance.. BECAUSE of those 'harmless' meds, in ultra light dosage.
It's hard to tell in a world as screwed as the one we live in. :-)
